    Hi,

Is there a way in Lawson to charge the employee's benefit premium (Health/Dental) to their home cost center? For the employee recovery as well, we had to map this to 1 cost center, then run a PR295 to allocate this to the employee's home cost center.

For our phycian based practices, we prefer to charge all the benefits to the employee's home cost center.

    Thanks!

      Hi,

If there is no cost center (Accounting Unit) on the PR05 (deduction) attached to the benefit plan (BN15 deduction tab) and there is no cost center assigned on the GL Override (BN20) for the benefit plan then the premiums will be charged to the cost center on HR11, which is probably the home cost center - unless the employee is assigned multiple posiitons, in which case a portion of the premium will be allocated to each of the cost centers in the same proportion as earnings for each cost center.

If your employees have multiple positions and you woud like more details on how the split is calculated let me know.

      Hope that helps, Karen
