Delete Employee ID Record

Started by  psfunkytek
We had an employee who has two employee ID's in our HR system sharing the same FICA_NBR.&160; We are unsure how this happened, but it is causing a problem with our interfaces which continue to try and update the old record which causes process failure (because the record is terminated) instead of the current one. We would like to delete one record and rebuild the correct history on the original record.&160; Does anyone know 1) Is there a lawson form for the end user to delete an ID or does it...

Total Prorated Salary Field incorrect

Started by  Eileen G
Hi All, Has anyone had an issue with this data field 729(total prorated salary)calculating incorrectly for EE's who are apparently paid by a schedule, grade, and step. I fixed the incorrect amounts for this 729 data item on HR54 and PA54, but on drill around under 'Pay information' the incorrect amount still exists. It's also still defaulting into the salaried based benefit plans. Has anyone else seen this before

How do I log on with a Mac

Started by  SchoolTeacher
I work at a school where Macs and PC's are networked through a windows server. I want to check out a new feature that the district has made available called Employee Self Service (ESS). Apparently we have to log onto Lawson Web first. However, when I try it get this message: <ra.XXXXXXXisd.org> Error calling /lawson/portal/portalconfig.xml Details: ERROR: Cannot convert 'a' to object SSORequest() - sso.js The Portal cannot load because it was unable to load the...

Does anyone use the GTL remuneration code E048

Started by  BonBon
GTL is exempt from FUTA/SUTA taxable wages but it is not exempt from Federal and State income taxable wages. I currently control this by utilizing the PR20.5 (Tax Exemptions) form.  I recently discovered the remuneration code field on the PR20.2 and it seems this is the way to control this instead by letting BSI handle the taxability rules.  Is anyone successfully using the GTL remuneration code E048

BN106 - 834 file extraction

Started by  SueS
We have started to look at and test with BN106 to create our HIPAA data files for our vendor. At their request they would like medical, dental and FSA information on the 834 file. I do see the expected segments for our medical and dental infomation. When I try and pull FSA information I can look at the file and see that there are no FSA segments that they are expecting. I also looked at the program and can see the coding for the various other segments for 834 transactions but none for FSA. H...

Charity Donations by employees and Lawson

Started by  CindyDouglas
We have a Foundation department at our company and they manage employee donations to charities and funds. We have donation campaigns where if employees want to, they can choose to donate money from their check or PTO to a campaign. We currently have a custom form created in Lawson for the employee to submit their donation. My question - do any other companies use Lawson to allow employees to donate to charity If so, how do you capture the donation requests - via a custom form like us, or...

Benefit Deduction a month in advance Question

Started by  Bettie
Hello, We are changing health plans and created new plans for 2018 to start on 1/1/2018.  We currently deduct premiums for health insurance a month in advance.  So we need to be able to start deduction for the new insurance with the first payroll in December 2017.  Lawson does not appear to have a built in feature to do this unless I missed it in my research, so we have been making manual adjustments for new hires to withhold their first months premium prior to cover...

Adding new accrual limits

Started by  Holliey
Hi all, Our company is introducing new accrual rules for certain employee groups. They are reducing the maximum accrual rate from 2x to 1.5x for these employee groups as of 01/13/2018 and those who have vacation accruals above 1.5x threshold their accrual would be sent to the sick bank . I am thinking of following steps to implement this: 1) Create new limit rules for the required employee groups and add new start date. 2) Payroll will stop the pay cycle on 1/14/2018....

Gift Cards - Imputed Income/ Gross Up?

Started by  DavidV
We have a need for the mass load of gift cards.   We have a few departments that are receiving gift cards and we're wondering the best way to mass load them for PR processing for tax purposes.   Would this be a form of imputed income and/or a gross up  What is our best approach to setting this up and loading   Any recommendations are appreciated.

Would anyone be willing to share documentation that your company has created for PMA time entry for employees and approvers  It would be great to get a sense for what others have created for the end user.

401k Employer Match & Catch-Up Contributions

Started by  Kristie Starzyk
Has anyone figured out how to let an employee continue with their 401k percentage contribution past the IRS limit, but NOT match on the catch-up contribution amount  We currently do it manually where the employee has to hit the $18,000 limit, then we switch them to a dollar amount contribution via a paper form that is manually entered on BN32.1.  For example, employee contributes 10 of their salary, and hits the $18,000 contribution max in September. They then turn in a form to have...

FMLA/Leave Tracking

Started by  Kristie Starzyk
Does anyone use Lawson for any type of FMLA or Leave eligibility/time used tracking  We currently track hours/eligibility in our Kronos Timekeeping, which is very manual.  We were wondering if anyone has been able to program Lawson to keep track of how many hours is available for FMLA without a lot of manual calculation/manipulation. We went live with Lawson in February 2016, so we are still very 'vanilla out of the box' with most of our Lawson duties. Thanks!

Passing Hours Only to GL from Payroll

Started by  RBH
Hi - I'm so out of my league here as I'm asking about stuff related to Payroll and GL, but I'm looking for ideas.  So, here goes. We are a healthcare organization and we have Travelers (non-employee temporary staff who work for a couple months) who clock through Kronos, just like regular employees.  Currently, that data is pulled from Kronos and given to Finance where they reconcile hours to invoices.  What we're wanting to move to is to have them continue to clock in Kronos and...

ESS Payment Modeling Change

Started by  TBonney
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum to which this should be posted. I have also posted it in the security forum as well, since it may be the result of an unintended security modification or require a security modification to fix. I have several users reporting that they are no longer able to 'Re-CaIculate' to see the effects of a different rate on their taxes, etc, using the payment modeling tool in ESS. They are still able to change all the other fields and see their effect, just not the p...

1094 IRS Address Errors

Started by  Margie Gyurisin
In trying to file 1094s, we have been receiving errors.  The person uploading indicated it said address errors so she went through and corrected everything that stood out.  Unfortunately, the exact records are not named in the feedback. Long story short, she called IRS and was told this: I just got off the phone with the IRS and through conversation I was informed that I would need to run my BN299 data through a parser which will “read” the file and determine if any of th...
