We're in the midst of upgrading to LSF 9. When we use LID to log into our test server, we're unable to make a connection. The only thing that we get on the screen is a blinking cursor. In talking with our network team, we did a netstat -nao on the LID port number and found a PID assoicated with the port. For some reason though, it appears that PID died unexpectedly and didn't release that port. The port is blocked by a process that is in a CLOSE_WAIT status. Is there a way to reestablish this port or to kill that PID without restarting the environment or the server? Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it? We are running Windows server 2003 SP 2 and upgrading to 9.0.0.4.
